Although summer has nearly come to an end, there are certainly differences between my summer and winter skin care routines. I much prefer lighter moisturisers and fresh skin care in the summer time as I feel my skin doesn’t need as much hydration, however I do tend to gravitate towards products that help reduce irritation. I find what with the higher temperatures summer brings sometimes my skin can feel a bit itchy and tighter.
Over the last few weeks I’ve been trying out the new naturally good range kindly sent to me from Nivea. What I like about this range is that it’s fragrance free – my skin does tend to become irritated by unnecessary fragrance in skin care products so it’s always good to see this!
The 3 products I have been trying are
The Tonic
This tonic is for removing make up residue and impurities. I use it after I’ve cleansed my skin to make sure I’ve removed all of my make up. It has a nice gentle formula with green tea extract. It leaves the skin feeling lovely and fresh and doesn’t sting or tingle like some toners I have used in the past.
The Day Cream
The naturally good day cream is a great pre-makeup moisturiser option. It’s a really nice light feeling cream and it doesn’t weigh the skin down or feel too heavy. It contains chamomile and is good for soothing skin irritation and redness – perfect for when my skin is feeling a bit hot and bothered in the summer. The fact it’s fragrance free is great for my sensitive skin and it gives me a clean and even base for make up.
