FAQs

What Brands Do You Use?

I use a variety of different brands.

From names you would see in Boots and Superdrug like Maybelline and L’Oreal. To higher end brands like Bobbi Brown, NARS, Laura Mercier and Urban Decay.

I also enjoy using indie brands like Lime Crime and Kaja Beauty.

How Do I Make A Booking

To make a booking you can email me at hi@sophieelisabethmua.co.uk or you can use the “contact” button in the menu of my website to fill in a form and contact me.

Ideally it would be good to know the type of make up you are after (bridal make up, special occasion make up etc) and the day you would like the service carried out on.

Once we have agreed on a date I will take a deposit to secure your booking. This deposit will be deducted from your final bill. Once the deposit is paid I will send over receipt and will no longer accept bookings for this day. Unfortunately I cannot hold any dates until a deposit has been paid.

When Does The Balance Need To Be Paid/How Should I Pay It?

The final balance can be paid either on the day of the appointment or prior to the day.

This can be done with cash or via bank transfer using the same details you would have paid your deposit to.

Do You Do Make Up Trials?

Yes I do trials and I would highly recommend them.

More so for brides and anyone who may not be used to having their make up done. The trial will allow you to discuss with me how you like your make up applied, you can bring along example pictures, colour schemes and we can talk about your dress and how we can tailor the make up to suit it. This way you have total peace of mind ahead of the day.

I would recommend booking a trial a few months before the wedding date. Trials can be arranged separately to the main booking – please contact me about them if you’d like to know more.

How Long Does It Take?

Timings can vary. If I am doing bridal make up I would leave 1 hour, bridesmaids, mother of the bride and so on would take slightly less time, around 45 minutes.

Dependent on how dramatic a look is (false eyelashes and so on) a special occasion make up could also take up to an hour, whereas a more simple natural look may take 30 minutes.

How Many Peoples Make Up Can You Do?

I am able to make up around 5 people on the morning of a wedding.

Please drop me a message if you have specific requirements in mind and we can work together to try and find the best solution to making sure everyone can have their make up done!

How Far Do You Travel

I can travel to wherever. I allow for up to 20 miles radius outside of my home base in Hainault, Essex within the price you will pay. For bookings further afield please drop me a message to discuss your needs.
